So Mawlana cried for him. When asked if this incident should be broadcast to the people, Mawalana said, “Yes, they should know that there is definitely life after death.”

About Shaykh Abdul Kerim Effendi Alayhi Rahma:
Shaykh Abdul Kerim Effendi is Maulana Shaykh Nazim’s worldwide representative (khalifah). He is blessed not only with sacred lineage, being a descendant of the Holy Prophet’s family, but he is also blessed with royal lineage of the Ottoman Sultans. He was also born in Cyprus and personally raised and trained by Sultanul Awliya Maulana Shaykh Nazim.
His real name is Aydogan Fuat, he was born in the city of Polibak. Ever since the day he was born, he is in a Tasawwuf lifestyle. Since his childhood, he grew up near Sheykh Nazim Kibrisi Hazretleri and attended almost all of Shaykh Nazim’s sohbets made in the Lala Pasha Jami at Magosa.
In November 1973, he enrolled voluntarily in the military. He happened to be in the the commando brigade that took over Marash in 1974. And he showed great heroism there. He was awarded the Gazi (Veteran) medal for heroism by showing his love to his country and people. After the war, he was sent by Shaykh Nazim Hazretleri to America with a mission to instill love of Islam and explain the beauty of Islam to the people of America.
Here, he worked for four years in the United Nations mission from Cyprus. For more than thirty years, he has devoted himself to help people of all walks of life to better understand Islam. This is accomplished by his endearing effort in establishing sohbet and zikir gatherings in the capital, Washington, D.C. He called people to Islam by founding Dergahs in countries such as Germany, China, and India. He is currently working on continuing these activities in South America. Through the Dergahs that he established, he has played a pivotal role in injecting Allah’s love in people who are in depression and drug addiction in a continent like America. Many people who have fallen into substance addiction in the Harlem slums have been saved by his tireless efforts.
Shaykh Abdul Kerim’s lineage traces back to the family of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and the Ottoman Sultan. From his father’s side, one branch reaches to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Alayhi Rahma. From his father’s mother’s side, he reaches to Hazreti Husein and Ibn Abbas. His maternal grandfather is from the Awliya Allah, Salih Emir Ali Alayhi Rahma. He is from the lineage of Hazrat Hasan and Ghaus E Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani Alayhi Rahma. His maternal grandmother’s side leads back to Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi Alayhi Rahma.
Shaykh Abdul Kerim has been working to make people love Allah in this New World for years. By purchasing some land in the little village of Sidney Center, he is establishing the Osmanli Dergahi that he was dreaming of with his intrigue of the Ottomans, the law and justice of the Ottomans. He always took the accomplishments of the Ottomans in knowledge and culture and human social relations as an example for himself. As a grandson of the Ottomans, Shaykh Effendi is active in making people assimilate the culture that is present in his genes by living in these lands.

The last time I saw him, about a year ago, he was quite healthy. In my friend’s recent pictures of him he looks healthy and well. Was this expected? I don’t understand…

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, Wa sall Allahu ta ‘alaa alaa Sayyidina wa Mawlaana Muhammadin wa ‘Alaa Aalihi wa Sahbihi wa sallim.
I had the good fortune of meeting Sheikh Abdul Karim Kubrisi Rahmatullahi ‘alaihi in 1995 in New York and sat for Dhikr Halqah with him and Sheikh HIsham Habbani. They followed us up to the Qadiri Gilani Khanqah in Holy Islamberg New York at the behest of our Sheikh Hazrat-Gi, Sayyid Mubarik ‘Ali Shah Gilani which is about 25 minutes south of the Dergah in Sidney.
What struck me about Sheikh Abdul Kerim Rahmatullahi ‘alaihi was his unassuming and unpretentious demeanor. Sheikh Abdul Karim was not one to seek power or position and because of this Allahu ta ‘ala allowed him to be of benefitto thousands of Muslims, revert as well as those born into Muslim families. We weep and cry in our heart of hearts when we hear about the passing away of the awliya. We don’t cry out of grief but out of a sense of loss that they will not be physically near us to guide us though guide they do even when not physically near.
We pray that the Murids of Sheikh Abdul Karim Effendi honor his memory by pledging to continue the work started by our dear Sheikh, Ameen.
Alhamdulillah, Allahu ta ‘ala Ala allowed him to return home while in the close proximity of Hazrat Mawlana Sheikh Nazim hafidhahullah, If not for the faithful servants [Jannah], than for whom? Al Fatihah.

He was a Lion. Sahibul Saif. A Strong Man of Allah swt. who love Prophet Muhammad (sas) dearly with every cell of his body. He lived the Sunnah of the Prophet and Sahabas. He is a great Teacher like none I have experienced in my lifetime. He led by example and he stated things as they were without sugar coating. A real gem that is worthy to be a neighbor of the Holy Prophet in Jannah Insha Allah Rahman. Ameen!
