Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi and Shamail Tirmidhi

Students attending classes of hadith often report the ecstatic Elysium of having dreams of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, towards the conclusion of class. One sister had the double bounty of a dream with the Prophet, peace be upon him, and Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi.

She documented the dream just a few days after we completed the “Shama’il.” She saw the Prophet peace be upon him, putting his hand on the chest of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi , and saying “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is Great) three times, followed by, “Allahu Shafi” (Allah is the Healer) once, then, “Yaa Wajhun Nur” (O Face of Light), three times, sealing the supplication with the Ayat al Kursi, the Verse of the Throne. Finally, the Prophet peace be upon him, gave Shaykh Muhammad a prescription: to take some dates with Zam Zam water. Two days later she dreamt that the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam offered him the dates and Zam Zam water.
